Farrington routs Waipahu, 46-6

No. 6 Farrington displayed a balanced attack in rolling over Waipahu, 46-6, Saturday night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I football season opener at Aloha Stadium.

Farrington (1-0) amassed 504 yards of offense - 257 passing from three different quarterbacks and 247 rushing - to dominated the Marauders (0-1).

Bishop Rapoza started at QB for Farrington, completing 8 of 9 passes for 105 yards, including TD passes of 35 and 24 yards to Kingston Moses-Sanchez. Joziah Anakalea came in next, completing 5 of 6 passes for 33 yards, including an 8-yard TD pass to Jathen Chaffin. And Justin Uahinui finished up 5-of-13 passing for 119 yards, including TD passes of 17 and 76 yards to Challen Faamatau.

Faamatau and Freedom Alualu accounted for the bulk of rushing yardage. Faamatau ahd 95 yards on eight carries, including a 64-yard TD run, while Alualu had 94 yards on 10 carries, including a four-yard TD run.

The game went into the running clock following Uahinui's first TD pass with 9:47 in the third quarter.

Waipahu got on the board with 4:35 left in the game on Gavin Marques' one-yard TD run.
