Punahou alumnus Nomura to play in CCL all-star game today

Former Punahou all-star outfielder Rick Nomura (2012) has been named to the California Collegiate League all-star team.

The CCL is a summer wood bat league. Its all-star game will be played at 4 p.m. (Hawaii time) today at the MLB Urban Youth Academy in Compton, Calif., and will be televised live on FOX Sports West.

Nomura, who just completed his eligibility at Alvin (Texas) JC and has signed with Arkansas, plays for the Conejo Oaks and is a teammate of University of Hawaii pitcher Andrew Jones.
