KSH alum Kolten Wong named NL Rookie of the Month

Kamehameha-Hawaii alumnus and 2008 Hawaii Hall of Honor recipient Kolten Wong was named National League Rookie of the Month for May Tuesday, according to MLB.com.

Despite being limited to 13 games because he was called up in mid-month after being sent down to Triple-A Memphis, Wong's .333 batting average was still best among NL rookies with 40 or more plate appearances for the month. He had a career-high four hits against the New York Yankees on May 28.
