Beau Branton batted 3 for 4 with a double and drove in four runs to lead Punahou to a 12-3 win over Pac-Five Saturday afternoon at Les Murakami Stadium.

The Buffanblu plated five runs in both the the second and seventh innings and outhit the Wolf Pack, 12 to 9, to snap a four-game losing streak. The Wolf Pack, who were coming off a 4-1 upset of Mid-Pacific Friday, fell to 1-8 in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I race.

Branton, a senior shortstop who has committed to play at Stanford next year, also drew a walk, stole a pair of bases and scored twice from the clean-up spot.

"I think we did real well," Branton said. "I think we played real relaxed, we didn't make too many mistakes and did what we needed to do to win. I think we squared up the ball a lot and we put up 12 hits and I think that's a good sign going out into the rest of the season."

Noah Goss, who batted behind Branton in the Buffanblu lineup, drove in a pair of runs and third-hitter KJ Harrison scored three runs. Starter Dylan Combs allowed one run on four hits in four innings of work to pick up the win.

Owen Saito took the loss for the Wolf Pack after allowing five runs on six hits in just two innings. Pac-Five, used five pitchers in the game, next plays Thursday against fifth-ranked Iolani at 3:45 p.m. at Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park.

Punahou visits Mid-Pacific Tuesday in a 3:45 p.m. game.

The Buffanblu have won both meetings against the Wolf Pack this season. They play again in the ILH regular-season finale on Apr. 19 at Murakami Stadium.
