OC16 Senior Girls Volleyball Invitational concludes Thursday

The Sixth Annual OC16 Senior Girls Volleyball Invitational will wrap up Thursday with a pair of matches beginning at 5 p.m. at the Mililani High School gym.

Among the players participating are Alohi Robins-Hardy, who was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Division I state tournament, and Faith Maafala from state champion Kamehameha, along with Remo Gaogao from state runner-up Punahou. Also playing are Farrington's Savannah Kahakai and Kahuku's Adora Anae, who signed National Letters of Intent Wednesday morning to play at Hawaii and Utah, respectively.

A total of 42 players — at least one from each school in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu and the Oahu Interscholastic Association — were randomly split into four teams (North, South, East, West).

The teams played Wednesday, with the West and North teams facing off at 5 p.m. and the championship match between East and South to follow. Both matches will be televised live statewide on OC16. All proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Hawaii.
