Kalani draws second seed for OIA White tournament

The Kalani Falcons drew the second seed for the four-team O'ahu Interscholastic Association White tournament, which begins this coming weekend, league football coordinator Harold Tanaka said.

Kalani, Pearl City and Radford all finished with 6-2 records and tied for second behind first-place Kaiser (8-0). Since Kalani beat Pearl City, but lost to Radford, which beat Pearl City, a drawing was held Saturday to break the tie. Kalani won the draw. With the remaining two teams, the tie-breaker reverts back to head-to-head. Pearl City's win over Radford put the Chargers third and the Rams fourth.

Since Kaiser and Kalani will be hosts and both share Kaiser stadium, the league will still have to determine scheduling.

In opening-round play, Radford will play Kaiser and Pearl City will face Kalani.
