Saint Francis buzzer beats Hawaii Prep, 55-53

Shabir Lynton hit the game-winner with 0.3 left as top-seeded Saint Francis edged Hawaii Prep in down-to-the-wire thriller, 55-53.

Ka Makani led by 10 points after the first quarter, but the Saints battled back in the second and third periods, and took a 42-39 lead into the fourth quarter.

Matthew Nuumanaia led a trio of double-digit scorers for Saint Francis with 16 points. Austin Ursua added 13 and Blaine Won 10 for the top-seeded ILH D2 champions, who survived to face Kailua in Saturday's title game set for 5:00 p.m. at Neal Blaisdell Arena.

Hawaii Prep got a game-high 25 points from senior guard Jovan Crnic in the loss.
