No. 2 Saint Lous took a commanding lead after the first four innings and held off No. 4 Iolani, 9-5, in an ILH Division I contest Tuesday.
The Crusaders (3-0) took an early lead after Sean Yamaguchi scored off a wild pitch and padded their lead with a three-run second inning over the home team.
Yamaguchi scored his second run in the third off Kolby Gushiken's single and Chase Sutherland brought in Kaili Kane for a 6-0 lead.
The Crusaders walked in a run and Kane plated two more on a line drive to go up, 9-0.
Isaac Ahokovi tripled to score two runs to get Iolani on the scoreboard in the fifth and Kaimana Lau Kong drove in another in the sixth.
The Raiders loaded the bases on consecutive singles by Cole Ide and Treyden Chong Kee and Ahokovi was beaned. Makana Oniate grounded into a fielder's choice as Ide and Chong Kee scored off an error to get within four runs.
Oni Dawson flew out to center and Kainalu Kane lined out to third to end the game.
