Westchester 68, Oak Ridge, 63
With the score tied at 55 with just over five minutes left in the game, Westchester (Los Angeles) pulled away from Oak Ridge (Orlando, Florida) to grind out a 68-63 victory.
Jordan Brinson led Westchester with 20 points and Kaelen Allen racked up a double-double on 5-for-8 shooting for 11 points and 11 rebounds. As a whole, the Comets hit 12 shots from beyond the arc.
Christopher Walker led Oak Ridge with a double-double of his own on 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Westchester advances to play Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, California) in the first semifinal Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
Oak Ridge plays Pleasant Grove (Utah) at 5 p.m. in the fifth place semifinal.
Sierra Canyon 63, Pleasant Grove 54
Sierra Canyon edged out Pleasant Grove, 63-54, to advance to the semifinals.
Kenyon martin Jr. and Scotty Pippen Jr. led the Trailblazers with 23 and 17 points, respectively. Christian Koloko followed with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Max Miller put in 16 points for the Vikings and Casey Brown added 15.
Sierra Canyon takes on Westchester in the first semifinal Friday night while Pleasant Grove plays Oak Ridge.
Montverde 92, Iolani 33
Host school Iolani kept it close after one quarter, but Montverde (Florida) exploded for 32 points in the second period and never looked back as the Eagles pounded the Raiders, 92-33.
Seven different players scored double digit figures for Montverde with Harlond Beverly leading the way with 17 points.
The Eagles will play La Lumiere (La Porte, Indiana) in the 8 p.m. semifinal Friday night while the Raiders will play West Linn at 3:30 p.m.
La Lumiere 73, West Linn 54
It was a three-point game at halftime, but the Lakers outscored the Lions by 13 points in the third quarter to pull away for the 73-54 victory.
La Lumiere's Keion Brooks put up 21 points and nine rebounds while Gerald Drumgoole had 14 points and Paxson Wojcik followed with 12.
West Linn's Micah Garrett had a game-high 24 points.
The Lakers advance to the 8 p.m. semifinal to play Montverde.
West Linn plays host Iolani in the fifth place semifinal.
